Magic Kingdom is definitely the park to go to if you like parades- every
week there is a giant parade with all of the Disney characters,
including characters from Fantasia, such as the alligator and ballerina
hippo. This is also a very good park for smaller children, though there
are plenty of attractions for older kids and adults as well. And you can
meet many of the Disney characters here; Cinderella might be near her
castle, or perhaps you might find Snow White wandering through the
streets. Mickey and Minnie are sure to be found here, as well as other
favorite characters- Chip and Dale, Mulan, Jasmine and Aladdin, and
more.

You may not associate bathing
suits with ski slopes, but that's the perfect attire when heading to
Disney's Blizzard Beach water park.
You see, once upon a time, there was a freak snow storm in Disney World.
Wanting to take advantage of the white stuff, they built a ski resort.
Sadly, the temperatures rose and it looked as if their new venture was
melting away.
Alligators aren't known for winter sports, but an adventurous one
decided to slide down the slippery slope into the pool that formed
below. Realizing that the ski runs could be put to use, Blizzard Beach
was born, or so the story goes. This amazing water park is ranked no. 2
in the U.S.
Blizzard Beach is home to numerous attractions that will fill your heart
with excitement. Try racing down the Downhill Double Dipper with a
friend or unwind on an inner tube in the Cross Country Creek. Kids even
have their own section called Tike's Peak that features small-scale
slides, pop jets and a fountain play area.
The frosty theme is found throughout the park, with former ski slalom
courses and bobsled and sledding runs used as downhill water slides.
Chair lifts carry swimmers to the top of the courses, or you can opt to
use the stairways and do some "mountain climbing." Melting snow reveals
sandy beaches, a pre-teen section, a scaled down kiddie area, and a host
of other activities. While you're surrounded by "ice and snow", the
water stays a toasty and comfortable 80-82 degrees all year round. |

This 56-acre water park would
most likely be the choice of FISH if they could choose an amusement
park, as Typhoon Lagoon features some of the wettest and wildest
attractions at Walt Disney World. Before Blizzard Beach opened, Typhoon
Lagoon was the largest water park on property. It is still immensely
popular, with its twisting tides, roaring rapids, wonderful waterways
and relaxing rivers. Typhoon Lagoon also features a special area where
guests can snorkel among live sharks and other tropical fish. Excluding
the snorkeling area, all water is heated to a toasty 75-80 degrees
year-round.
Castaway Creek -
This 2100-foot continuous river raft ride lets guests aboard
inner tubes meander through rain forests, caves, open
grottos, waterfalls and a waterworks area. Children must be
accompanied by an adult.
Gangplank Falls - Huge inner tubes holding four
guests careen down rapids and through special water effects
and rock formations on this 300-foot family raft ride.
 Humunga Kowabunga - Travel at speeds up to 30 mph as
you are whisked down one of the triple enclosed slides and
through caves on this 214-foot ride. Must be 48 inches to
ride.
Keel Haul Falls - Hop aboard your inner tube and slide
down one of the "soft foam" slides, passing through caves,
waterfalls and special effects along the way.
Ketchakiddee Creek - This children's play area
features ten different activity areas with slides, floating
boats, music and ball fountains, waterfalls and squirting
animals. Designed just for children under 48 inches tall.
Mayday Falls - Similar to Keel Haul Falls, travel
down the "soft foam" slides and enjoy the scenery along the
way.
Shark Reef - This coral-reef environment features an
observation area, both above and under the water. This is
your chance to snorkel with live sharks and other tropical
fish. Equipment is available at no fee at Hammer Head Fred's
Dive Shop. Guests may also use their own snorkeling
equipment (tempered glass mask only, NO fins allowed). Life
jackets are available at High & Dry Towel Rental (must leave
driver's license for deposit).
Storm Slides - This series of body slides propels guests
through caves, waterfalls, geysers and features a 36-foot
drop into bubbling pools.
Wave Pools - Surfs up at this body-surfing wave pool
with waves up to six feet tall. A continuous two-hour cycle
begins when the park opens (subject to change) and features
90 minutes of surf waves, five minutes of calm, ten minutes
of bobbing waves, five minutes of calm, ten minutes of
bobbing waves and finally ten

The Ballpark
A 9,500 seat baseball stadium built in 1997. Formerly known as Cracker

Hess Sports Fields
Consists of eight multi-purpose fields, two are equipped for night play.
Four are made to international soccer dimensions. The Tampa Bay

Baseball Quadraplex
Consists of four professional baseball fields and one practice infield,
two are equipped for night play. The quadrapelex also consists of

The first venue to be completed, consists of six fields used for
softball and youth baseball. Organized with four fields in circle and

Cross Country Course
Consists of multi-purpose fields, the Track and Field Complex, and a 0.7
mile wooded trail.
