Kraken
A terrifying monster of the deep has been let loose on Central
Florida. Kraken has emerged from the depths of the sea, breaking
all records as the newest, highest, fastest, longest and only
floorless roller coaster in Orlando, it even plunges underwater! It
will take you to the heights of a 15-story building and turn you
upside down seven times, all at speeds reaching 65 mph! Named after
a legendary sea monster, Kraken is a massive, mythological
underwater beast that's unleashed from the depths of the sea to
take SeaWorld guests on the ride of their lives, lifting them
higher, dropping them longer and spiraling them faster than any
other coaster in Orlando. Riders' feet dangle as they sit on
open-air, pedestal-like seats with nothing around them except
shoulder restraints. There's no one to hold on to, nothing in front
of them and nothing below them, and only sky above. 54" height
requirement.
Ride Review:
Kraken has given Sea World arguably the best roller coaster in
Central Florida. Kraken is the tallest, fastest, steepest coaster
in the south (Sea World only claims Orlando for some strange reason
which makes us wonder if Busch Gardens has something planned? Maybe
SheiKra?). It is also only the 4th floorless coaster ever built.
When you are loaded into the train the floor drops down and
disappears leaving your feet dangling frightfully close to the
track, chain lift, brakes and anything else that could dismember
you. It only adds to the thrill as you climb 151 feet in the air
and plunge down approaching speeds of 67 mph through numerous
inversions, waterfalls, and tunnels. The front seat is absolutely
spectacular, as you can see in the picture below there is
absolutely nothing in front of you but air and track. This coaster
is the quietest and smoothest you will find in Orlando and as an
added bonus it is one of the few that doesn't rely much on the
dreaded trim breaks "yet". |

Journey to Atlantis
Get ready for the ultimate adventure
ride: Journey to Atlantis! Travelling on water and high-speed
rails, you'll be chased by spirits who want to keep Atlantis and
you for their own! You'll never know what's around the next corner
or the next drop, even when it's 60 feet, nearly straight down.
Journey to Atlantis is the future of theme park thrill rides.
Combining the best parts of water rides and roller coasters, and
adding out-of-this-world special effects have created the most
unbelievable ride imaginable.
42" height requirement. Guests 42"-48" must be accompanied by a
responsible person.
Ride Review:
Sea World's first "thrill ride" if you don't count simulators, this
journey through the lost city of Atlantis has lots of great visual
effects and it gets pretty wild after things start out calmly
enough. You fall from the city on a really steep, fast, and wet
drop only to be pulled back in and dropped again on a roller
coaster track....

show at SeaWorld's Nautilus Theater. Odyssea is a non-traditional

from an imaginative and eccentric explorer. The audience encounters
an array of adventures, including an icy, Antarctic landscape with
high-flying, playful "penguin" characters who bounce, tumble and

intricate formations while suspended high above the stage; a
dazzling contortionist, balanced inside a giant seashell, who
twists and bends into seemingly impossible shapes.
Intensity Ski Show
You won't want to miss the Intensity Water Ski Show! It's a
hyper-competition between the most skilled athletes on the water. A
20-person team, composed of world-class wakeboarders and
record-holding skiers from across America, heats up the water to
the pumping beat of high-energy sports arena anthems. They'll
perform a fast-paced frenzy of high-flying, heart-stopping action
that fuses the intensity of "big air" water-stunt power with the
twisting, turning, trampoline talent of world-class gymnastics. Its
mach-speed action takes competition to the extreme!
Cirque de la Mer
Not even the Big Top could accommodate the immense talent of
performers at "Cirque de la Mer" (Circus of the Sea), in which
athletic performers combine creativeacrobatics with side-splitting
comedy based on South American folklore. Starring renowned Peruvian
comic Cesar Aedo, the circus showcases gifted musicians, athletes,
acrobats and dancers who illustrate a series of artistic, dramatic,
amusing -- and always entertaining -- vignettes.

Rides:
SheiKra
Set among the jungle ruins of a once-mighty African civilization, SheiKra carries riders up 200 feet at 45 degrees, then hurtles them 70 mph back toward the ground at a 90-degree angle. It will be the first coaster of its kind in the Americas and only the third in the world. Similar diving coasters in England and Taiwan can't match the height, speed and intensity SheiKra offers. SheiKra is the first dive coaster to incorporate an Immelmann loop, a water feature, and a second 90-degree, 138-foot drop through an underground tunnel. The ride also includes a 360-degree climbing carousel. SheiKra's 3,188 feet of steel track offers a total ride time of just over three minutes.
Kumba
Come ride Kumba, one of the world's best roller coasters. After the blood-curdling thrill of an initial 135 foot drop, you will plunge from 110 feet into a diving loop, feel a full 3 seconds of absolute weightlessness while spiraling 360 degrees, and tear through one of the world's largest vertical loops.
You must be 54 inches tall to ride Kumba and other safety restrictions may apply. |

|
Gwazi
|
|
Gwazi is Busch Gardens Tampa Bay's mammoth double wooden coaster. It is also the Southeast's largest and fastest double wooden roller coaster boasting more than 1.25 million board feet of lumber and over 2 million bolted connections.
Named after a fabled lion with a tiger's head, Gwazi races riders through almost 7,000 feet of track and is two distinct coasters intertwined:
The Gwazi Tiger has an element that gives riders a slalom sensation more like a bobsled than a wooden coaster.
The Gwazi Lion's highlight is a seemingly continuous number of spirals.
Montu
Feel the ultimate rush on Montu - one of the tallest and longest inverted roller coasters in the world. Experience the thrill of an inverse diving loop and a 60-foot vertical loop while you endure speeds of over 60 miles per hour and a G-force of 3.85. Montu is probably the most intense coaster in Florida. It is an inverted B&M coaster which means the trains actually hang from the track above leaving your feet dangling. This "God of War" boasts the worlds largest inverted vertical loop. During the ride you plunge into trenches over alligator pits and go through numerous inversions including an incredible batwing element. |
|

|
Python
|
|
Experience the twists and turns of the Python. This thrilling roller coaster will make you scream through a double spiraling corkscrew and intense 70-foot plunge - just for starters. The Python is a very short and to the point coaster. It boasts a rather intense drop, then spins you around into two rather great corkscrews before bringing you right back into the station. This coaster design or one with slight modifications can be found in many different parks throughout the world.
Scorpion
|
| Feel the "sting" of Scorpion's terrifying 60-foot drop and 360 degree loop at incredible speeds. You can find the Scorpion in Timbuktu...If you dare. The Scorpion was added to Busch Gardens in the early 80's. It is pretty small but packs some serious punch. The very compact design with tight turns makes this a great thrill. The helixes are probably the best features of this ride.
Cheetah Chase
Challenge the crazy curves and hairpin turns of Cheetah Chase. This
five-story family coaster takes you on an adventure in the heart of
exotic Timbuktu.
Congo River Rapids
Encounter the swift-flowing white water of the Congo River Rapids. Spin through a geyser, face an ominous waterfall, and other thrilling obstacles in a 12-person raft. If you want to get totally drenched on a hot day Congo River Rapids is your best bet. This is a version of the familiar white water rapids ride much like the new Kali River Rapids at Animal Kingdom. Your journey down the Congo River takes you through tunnels, under waterfalls, through plenty of rapids, and if none of this gets you soaked the guests above you can pay $.25 to shoot you with water cannons.
Stanley Falls
Cool off on Stanley Falls. Our Log Flume whisks your whole family through a splashing trip ending in a 40-foot drop that's sure to get you soaked.
Tanganyika Tidal Wave Watch out when your seemingly tranquil jungle journey aboard a 20-passenger boat ends with a sudden plunge down a 55-foot drop. This creates an enormous wave that gets everyone sopping wet.
You will get soaked on this one! Be careful exiting on the bridge because the next boat down will send a "Tidal Wave" straight for you. You must be 48 inches tall and other restrictions may apply.

What makes Aquatica so different
from the other top Orlando water
parks?

Aquatica is conveniently
located just across from Sea
World on International Drive.
|
|
Disney's Typhoon
Lagoon and Blizzard Beach theme parks are unique in their own ways-
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon has a large wave pool, setting it apart
from Disney's Blizzard Beach, which has the Summit Plummet- a tall
slide that goes straight down all the way. Wet & Wild is known
for its large amount of water slides and other water rides.
Aquatica combines two wave pools, an immense amount of tall slides
and rides, and many other attractions that make it very different
from Orlando's other top water parks.
